How do you curl your hair with a 1'; straightener??

i have a nice straightener but dont know how to curl my hair with it?How do you curl your hair with a 1'; straightener??
I have a 1'; Chi straightener, and it took me a lot of attempts to figure out how to curl my hair with it but now that I figured it out I can't stop! Take sections like you would when curling your hair with a curling iron. With one hand pull the piece out and put the straightener near the roots as if you were going to straighten right down the strand. Instead, clamp down and turn the clamp so it's lined up straight towards the ceiling....almost like flicking your wrist outwards, that's the motion. Then, while keeping it turned up and clamped, slowly slide down the strand of hair. The slower you slide the tighter the curl. And If you keep slowly rotating your straightener in the same direction your hair can flip more.

I also kept playing around, and figured out you can get curls to curl a certain way. Picture the pieces of hair that frame your face -- if you want curls going away from your face or towards, it just depends on which way you rotate the straightener to flip it.

You can curl the whole strand, you can start from the middle if you have longer hair that gives you the care-free curl look, or you can just use this method to curl the ends.

And you can also do this if your hair is in a neat ponytail, just do the same thing with the straightener and clamping it with the pieces from your ponytail. Have fun! I'm sure you won't be able to stop playing with your hair after you figure out this trick. How do you curl your hair with a 1'; straightener??
