How do you curl your hair with straighteners?

My hair doesn't seem to want to curl when I use curlers but it goes a bit wavy when I TRY to do it with straightenerHow do you curl your hair with straighteners?
Yeah its tricky! And you'll need a quality straightner....just separate a small section - no more than an inch wide...grip the end of that section with the straightner and wrap it around and around until you have moved up the section and are almost to the scalp. Try not to wrap the hair on just one part of the straightner...use the whole heating plate. And hold for 5-10 seconds. Try using a spray on wax or hairspray to hold the curl abit. It is very time consuming and wont get you corkscrew curls...but itll be a bit more than wavy. The trick is the less hair per curl the better :)How do you curl your hair with straighteners?
..... O_o

Erm... Your curlers aren't hot enough. You cannot curl hair with straighteners. The reason you're getting wave when you use straighteners is because you're not using them properly.

Buy new curlers, they need to be hotter.
It depends on the kind of straightening iron you have. If it seems to be a round kind which can create curls, then you can try that. All you have to do is pin the bottom section of your hair in between the straightening iron, then twist it around as if using a curling iron! That's all! You can also search on youtube for some video tutorials! :)
Have you tried using curlers ?

I don't mean those who play bowls on ice.

hello

1. put your hair in the straightners as usual ( right next to your roots)

2. pull your hair bit by bit around the straightners

3. gradually pull through - twisting the straightners as you go along

GOOD LUCK :)
I have the same problem with very straight hair. What I do: the night before I want my hair curly, I make my hair wet, take small pieces, soak it with hair spray, then put a spunge roller(curler) in. I sleep with it in my hair, the next day i walk with it the whole day, take it out and they are curled (it lasts for about 5 hours)
I curl my hair with my GHDs by wrapping a piece of hair around two fingers up to the root, then taking it off my fingers and holding the curl at the edge, then putting it between the straighteners to sort of flatten the circle. Not a very good description! But it works really well.
# Start off by dividing your hair, this can be done by parting your hair into two parts straight down the middle. For each side, roll your hair into a bun and hold it up with a clip. You also should repeat the last step for the other part of your hair.

# Turn on your straightener, and place it onto a sensible place.

# You will then need to take a bit of hair out of your bun this section of your hair you take out should be as thick as one of your fingers.

# You then need to hold that section of hair near the end of the straightener. You are then required to place the iron over the section of your hair. Afterwards, wrap that section of hair around the bottom plate.

# You will then need to gently close the straightener lightly gripping the section of your hair. Then glide the straightener down towards the ends and rotate it outwards. If you don't like the curl you end up with you can always try again on the same section of your hair

# You then need to repeat step 3-5, and use it to curl up the rest of your hair with a straightener.
