How do you curl your hair with a straightener ?

I have long black hair and want to curl it with a straightener, how do I do that?How do you curl your hair with a straightener ?
have a look on youtube for tutorials. but you basically grab a piece of hair, clamp with straigtener at top near roots. twist hair around 1 1/2 times and pull down so that you are ';straightening'; ur hair but the hair is curled aroung the iron. then release and you should havea curl.How do you curl your hair with a straightener ?
