How do I curl my hair with my hair straighteners?

I have TRESemme Hair straighteners and I want to curl my hair with them. I've tried it but i think i'm doing it wrong as it doesn't curl it just straightens my hair. My hair does curl.How do I curl my hair with my hair straighteners?
you can curl hair with hair straightners but you have to do it at a angle to your head I pull my hair tight at a 90 degree (i think maths is not my strong point!!!) then use the straightners as if you are using sissors to curl ribbon, It takes lots of practice but you will be able to do it!!How do I curl my hair with my hair straighteners?
Ignore all the comments on buying a curling Iron. Straighteners curl way better and the curl usually lasts longer.


What I do is clamp the straightener like you are going to straighten your hair then roll it so your hair is wrapped around it, then slowly pull the straightener through your hair. if you let it sit too long you will get kinks in your curl so I would practice with your iron off a couple of times so you can get used to it.
Im wondering about this as well. I have the same straightener as you. When i try to do it with mine i get a load of kinks in the curl. Do you?


I curl a clump of hair around one stem on the straightener, clamp them together them pull. But that's how i get kinks.





Ignore the other comments. I know many people who curl their hair with straighteners. And it works for them. So there must be a way.
it is possible to curl it with a straightener.....when you curl it around be sure to slide the straightener you kinda have to roll the straightener as you slide it to the end of the hair...this way it curls and you don't have the crimp in it...(don't keep the iron in one spot too long make sure to glide it with the hair in the shape you want it to go)....good luck
lol i love curling my hair with straighting ironss. hah, You just act like your straightening your hair, but when your pullling it down you like flip your hair so its like going up at the bottom. Your gunna turn the iron to the side. Its hard explaining it, but i hope i make sense. and your just gunna pull it down. Your you can do it under. eaither way it looks cutee. Hope i made sensee (=
When I got my hair done for my wedding, she curled it using a straightner (which I thought was odd at the time, but it worked really well) - she said it would make the curls hold better. From what I remember... she twisted small pieces of hair, then wrapped them around her finger, then pulled the wrapped hair off of her finger and put that ';clump'; in the straightner.

when i curl my hair with straighteners i section my hari in to half an inch sections,hold the bottom of a chunk and curl it up into a snail shape (if you know what i mean) then when ive curled it all the way to the root i press on it with the straighteners for 30 seconds , hope this helps xxxx

take a small setion of hair, and wrap it round the curler, making sure hair from root to scalp is covered. clamp shut for 2 - 4 seconds and then release gently, twisting out the hair. spray with hairspray.

Well, you could twirl the hair around one plate and then close it.
their is a reason why they are called hair straighteners
hmmm... i hate to say this because it isn't really answering your question, but why don't you just buy a curling iron?
